Bandhavgarh, Corbett, Kanha, Ranthambore, Sundarbans and few other national parks are well known all over the world for Tiger Reserves in India. There are around 38 tiger reserves in India. Tiger is the most majestic and powerful animal, and the recent census, as compared to the one in 2006 with only 1411 tigers, has reflected a reverse trend showing a 20% rise in tiger population with a total now of 1706 giving a ray of hope to the species.
